My philosphy is if you don't desire to do it, you shouldn't do it. That very much applies in boxing because if you don't want something thats when it gets dangerous. Those who want it the most end up at the top(of course talent also plays a role). But the point is there isn't anything wrong w/ not doing it, unless it is your desire to do it.

I plan to start training like 3x as hard, but it isn't really necessarily to fight. Heck, I might plan to train for 2 months, and then go back to the gym...and never end up going. Way I look at it though:

    1) I'll be in the best shape of my life
    2) Even without the sparring i'll be ready for any fight
    3) If I want to fitness model...Doing all this boxing, swimming, etc I plan on doing will get me even more ripped (while I'm still lifting for size)

I love the training...I just hate being sore for 2-3 days, and my gym workouts SUFFER until I heal up. Actually since I started this place I've gained some weight..Hell if I understand how unless I'm just needing to eat so much more. Figure if I quit though, my body rests better, and I eat the same...I should make gains even faster.
