I thought it was good as hell lol. I was kind of sad that it was a draw, I wanted Santiago to win...He was loading up and landing some very very clean power shots the entire fight and there were a couple close rounds at the end that I felt should have went his way and I'm guessing those were the ones that didn't. Either way it was a close fight and it was an exellent attempt to taking the belt away from an experienced guy like Luevano. I had a bias for Santiago when I was watching the fight because I clearly wanted him to win. I wanted to see a Rican vs Rican scrap with him vs JuanMa even if he'd get murdered by the huge lead right hook, I think it would have been a fight worth watching.

    What do you guys think.:think

So vote, Who did you give the fight to?

I think if Luevano concentrated on the fight instead of jacking around showing off to the crowd he would of won the fight.

I gave it to Santiago by a round.

I think the powershots were totally being landed by Santiago down the stretch. He hurt the guy several times, the guy has a massive chin you gotta give him that. It was close just sucks that it was a draw. What was up with 1 of the scorecards had it 117-111 for Luevano? wtf..

It was a great fight, especially the 2nd round, when they traded knockdowns within the same 30 secs.

I thought a draw was absolutely perfect, but the judge who scored it 117-111 for Luevano should never judge again.

Santiago took some rounds off because he was so tired from throwing everything he had in the prior round before those, if only he were a more experienced fighter he would of got the win for sure.

I intend to rewatch it again later today if I can.

He was definitely exhausted hardcore, I never really seen him like that so early in a fight. There was a massive experience gap between the two guys.

I had it 7-5 Santiago, but a draw was a perfectly reasonable outcome.

The fight was so good, but then so unfulfilling. Fights like that deserve to have a winner or a loser...not a draw! lol

I feel a draw was appropriate. Though the 117-111 card for Luevano was as far off base as you can get. I, like Lederman, had Luevano winning a lot of the earlier rounds. But I think the fight was there for the taking in the last 3 rounds for Santiago. At the start of round 10, it seemed like he expended too much energy trying to put Luevano away, and was forced to fight in spurts for the remainder of the fight. And even then, I think he may have still eeked out round 12. Great fight though, regardless..and I hope there's a rematch asap.

First of all, the fight was a hell of a fight, the type that usually plays out on showtime not HBO. From the very first round, the fight started off perfectly with Santiago knocking down Luevano and Luevano getting right up to retaliate and get a knock down of his own. it just sent the tempo for the rest of the fight and it was, in my eyes, the most entertaining fight of the night.

Give tons of credit to Santiago for being tough as nails and landing the bigger shots while taking some shots as well. He could have won the fight, but he left himself open to often, making it obvious to the judges of the punches Luevano was landing. He sort of left his chin in the air a lot so a lot of light punches by Luevano at times made Santiagos head pop back. Also, give Luevano credit for doing what he had to do to win. The fight could have gone either way, depending on what you preferred, the more refined boxer or the aggressor. I thought Santiago could have taken it due to his success in the later rounds and him seeming to be the fresher of the two even up to the last seconds of the bell. Though, what hurt Santiago was when he threw himself out, I think it was the 10th or 11th. He had Luevano against the ropes and was mauling him and Luevano countered with a nasty body shot... Dont know if you guys saw but Santiago's saliva/spit came flying out and he seemed hurt and went on his bike for the rest of the round. It was a great fight, both guys were hurt, while it was Luevano bieng hurt the most often.

Like I what I was saying days before the fight . . . it's gonna be very competitive. :yep

I had Santiago by a round but a draw is reasonable because it's really very close.

I just can't figure out how the other ****i'n judge got a score of
    117 -111 ? :huh :nut
