I thought he showed great bodywork but apart from that he didn't really show a lot of improvment if any.He still lunged in,still wa swild, maybe he thought he could get Ramirez out fast.Got to say Ramirez was an awkward ****er,he didn't really wanna fight and ran most of the time but he had a tight guard and decent counterpunching skills. He caught Mick coming in a few time sespecially in the 6th.All in all it was a underperformance,he should have stopped the guy.I had it 99-87 if it matters, the fight was one-sided as Ramirez didn't throw mmuch of anything back.He still has a lot to work on.
Yeah but he seems the type of crude fighter that can improve.Altough he clearly lost I liked his style with Diaz.Brawling would also have been a solution but...
He looked good but Ramirez wanted nothing to do with it . . . Once he felt Micks punches it become all about survival . . . He boxed and can get away with that against lower level fighters but at the end of the day against guys like Diaz and Campbell Micks boxing wont cut it, he needs to be aggressive against the top guys to have a chance.
What he did with Ramirez was anything but boxing,he didn't come out to take his head off in the first and tried to not be so wild but still was counterpunched when Ramirez let his hands go.He showed some boxing with Diaz. He's gonna have problems with Julio if Smith makes a wrong gameplan again.
he got the W but i was a little disappointed to be honest.hopefully it was just a off night and ramirez did run scared from him most of the fight.
Agreed but he did have a lot of time to train in Thailand, can't really blame it on the off night thing.
