What I learnt is that 80 percent of ESB was picking pascal to win. I picked Bernard to win all along and he should have won. Now all of a sudden pascal is overrated. But he wasn't last week when people were picking him to win.

To not go on forums after a close fight because whoever lost was "robbed".

During the lead-up and the fight we learned (joke coming) that

    1) Jean Pascal didn't have good grades in school
    2) He had great grades
    3) Education in Canada sucks

Actually, Majority of the threads I noticed started by people were on the "When Hopkins schools Pascal"... "1 week left before Hopkins takes Pascal to school" themes. It sounded as if Hopkins was the champion.

Anyone who watched Pascal / Dawson would have seen that Dawson was the one who really lost that fight and Pascal did what he did. He isn't great, but he has some athletic ability and awkward style to give some guys trouble. Overrated? Im not seeing who overrated this guy, I think its pretty clear he has some limitations and flaws.

I think hopkins has been down too many times in his last two fights (Yes, most by illegal punches) that we can not ignore the fact that he should not move up to heavyweight and fight Haye if thats what he plans to do. Hopkins would get KOd imo, and a 46 year old taking rabbit punches from a big punching heavyweight could be very damaging. Can you imagine Haye landing the punches on Hopkins that put Ruiz down?

Another thing I learned is that Pascal just isnt that good. The fact that Hopkins fought him and not Dawson when he was undefeated shows that he knew that it would be a more suitable fight for him especially given Pascals low output. Hopkins isnt going to fight someone that he believes has more advantages over him and at 46 I dont blame him. and thats not to take away from Hopkins who fought 8 brilliant rounds.

I also learned that most fans dont like, or understand the professional scoring system.
