I thought it was good, but somewhat too prefabricated, moved too fast, should have been longer to develope the characters/feelings of such. I still love the "first" Rocky, it's the best, by far.

Anyone see "Requiem of a Heavyweight" by Rod Serling? It was a true classic.

I'm surprised you think it moved too fast. To me was rather slow but I like that. I like the first and last movies the most. It really did seem like it was taking more from the first film than any of the ones in between. To sum up, it was not as good as the first one but better than all the sequels before it.

Yes, it "was" better than I expected, but I understand your point.

It didn't have the cheesy entertainment value of the 3rd or 4th (which had the best training montage), but I thought it was the best of the sequels.

Better script, acting, story, drama, etc...

Outside of 5, I liked them all (they are old outside of 6, so being a kid, doesn't make me TOO embarrased).

1, 2 and 6 were probably the better "stories" and perhaps acting.

3 and 4 were bull****, but damn entertaining.

I just saw it on Showtime. I thought it was entertaining, but not as good as the last Rambo. :yep

The original was the most realistic: the club fighter gets the chance of a lifetime and performs well; that happens in boxing. Rocky III was my favorite for pure entertainment. Rocky 6 was just "okay" in my book.

What did Tarver do to look like a heavyweight? Eat Doritos. He looked flabby as hell. Was there really a need for Tarver to gain so much weight? Stallone needs to lay of the juice.

I was watching it yesterday actually I got a pretty good laugh.

i think it was done better then i thought it would turn out.

but developing character and moving to fast was not a complaint of mine. the characters were already built on in the last movies and the pace is actually inbetween in respects to the other movies

I loved all the Rocky Movies, even #5. I thought the last installment was very good. I loved his speech when they initially refused to license him. Best scene of all the Rocky movies-Round14 , in his first fight with Apollo Creed, when he gets knocked down. Everyone in his corner is telling him to stay down, he gets up at the count of 9, and you see Apollo's face. I get chills down my back every time.
