Just wondering what others thought of the quality of ESPN360.com.

I watched Wlad-Peter on it this weekend, and here's what I've come away with:

Compared to other Internet PPVs I've ordered, the quality was better MOST of the time. However, sometimes the quality would reduce for 1-3 minutes, and then go back to normal. I don't know what the cause for reduction would be, other than the ESPN servers, as I had no other traffic on my 10meg connection.

But other than those couple occasions of reduced quality, and it freezing for about 5-10 seconds once or twice, it was great. The stream looked VERY GOOD on my plasma. It was better than standard definition TV, but not as good as an HD signal.

I read that Vitali-Briggs will also be on ESPN360, so I'm looking forward to it.

I couldnt watch it, it asked for my cable provider and Cablevision/IO/Optimum wasnt listed(WTF??) Thats what basically everyone has where I live, that or DirecTV. So I just waited for the result, I was pissed I wanted to see it and I was looking for another stream of a free internet stream LOL.

I think ESPN360 is tied to your local cable company and the television deal they have with them for regular ESPN, ESPN2, etc... so hopefully more and more ISPs will be added.

xbox360 Gold Members will have access starting sometime in November.

It was nice having another way to watch boxing, but the stream quality wasn't very good at all.

I thought it was ok. Mostly I had great almost HD quality. And like you said, it would drop for couple of minutes. But I liked it and hope they continue fighting on it as this is the only option for me to watch a fight other than a stream
For Wlad-Chambers I bought the PPV but for some reason it didnt work at all so I was stuck with online streaming. Since I have comcast I'm all for their fight not being on HBO but instead on espn3.com lol

The K-Bros need to negotiate fight dates early to get them on either Showtime or regular ESPN. If HBO doesn't want to show their fights, there are plenty of other players out there. I personally would love to see Wlad fight live on ABC so the whole USA could see and finally understand who the TRUE heavyweight champion of the world is.

I loved it, worked great for me here in kalamazoo Michigan. Another plus is it automatically goes to the replay section. I was in South Bend watching the Notre Dame vs Michigan game, so I was unable to watch the fight. Sunday afternoon I watched the replay on espn3.com and there are no spoilers

The quality was iffy at best when I used it for Sturm-Lorenzo. I didn't even bother with ESPN3 this past weekend after I discovered Teddy Atlas would be calling Klitschko-Peter II. I instead elected to go with the Sky Sports feed, since I know how negative and annoying Teddy Atlas can be when it comes to the Klitschkos. For me, nothing has came close to Yahoo's Live Streams. For a while, they would stream untelevised undercards on their web site, and offered 12000 kbps streams that were virtually flawless. Still I appreciate what ESPN is doing, though.
