So, where is everyone elses reasoning? The usual contradictory, clutching-straws bollocks no doubt...

I don't think he's a big puncher thats pretty obvious. I reckon he's got similar power to Timothy Bradley and everybody refers to him as a 'non-puncher' when talking about the matchup with Khan. They say he's a non-puncher therefore not a threat to Khan (apparently). Khan's a non-puncher if Bradley is.

Well I disagree on both points, Calzaghe was a puncher and Khan can punch aswell, the proof is in the pudding when it comes to punching.

Average: Tim Bradley. Scores a few flash kds over good level of opposition (Witter, Peterson, Cherry) but not concussive. Snappy, leads people onto shots. Someone like Ricky Hatton would be above average, Maidana concussive, Alexis Arguello a true bona fide KO artist (Ive tried to pick fighters that we all have footage of at 135/140 rather than co
paring Khan to Joe Louis :good)

Haye is not a massive puncher IMO. However, Ruiz has always been very durable, and sat Ruiz on his arse heavily.

Ruiz become a 100% different fighter post-Tua. Tua at that point was a bigger pincher than Haye, so I don't know why you used that comparison.

Are you just ignoring the fact that Ruiz wasn't knocked out in the 14 years following that or ever before?

He barely fought a puncher after that.

I don't think there are many ''punchers'' in boxing right now.

There's no Tommy Hearns, or even Lennox Lewis knocking around. I'd say the biggest hitter in boxing right now is Pacquiao, after him it's a lottery, Lopez maybe..... both the Marquez brothers can crack too.

These days, most fighters wear an opponent down with accumulation...... or hope for a British ref.

Where's the proof? All you've proven is you have an unfounded opinion.

See how I gave evidence and analysis? You're just saying something, and not backing it up.

Pacquiao might be if he was fighting at 140 but at 147 he's not a big puncher. Thats what the evidence of his fights so far suggests, though he has fought big, durable opponents.

There aren't many one punch KO artists at the moment. There are a lot of big punchers that you get in every era, the likes of Haye, Lopez, Gamboa, Montiel, Donaire but no chilling punchers at the moment.

I wouldn't call Khan a puncher, but he has enough power to keep you honest.

Valero was not a puncher either.

He's yet to step it up bit Lemieux looks promising in terms of real chilling power.

A lot of Khan's stoppages are him rushing his opponents and catching them with barrages early on and the shock stops them not the power.

He's a shoeshiner just like Bradley is. They both do it but in different ways. They know they haven't got great power but like any punch if you don't see it coming and it's fast and accurate it will shake you up.

Bradley is good at catching and buzzing opponents with one punch counters where as Khan needs three's and fours. Bradley shook Abregu a WW. Khan's a better finisher, Bradley is awful at finishing.

I agree I remember after Mitchell KOed Mendoza he was considered a puncher here too.

Valero was a puncher of some kind. A one punch type probably not but he certainly had very good power, but he had volume to make up for it. He was in the Maidana mould in my opinion, but had more handspeed and therefore was more dangerous.
