well like i said that would be up to the ref or the doctor if the corner throws the towel in the ref dont have to stop it if he feels the fight is going fine i was just stating the rules of the fight but i understand what u are sayin
A ref can choose to ignore the corner......but he he agreed with the corner.and cast his vote in favor of the corners point of view on this occasion .
:rofl:rofl:rofl When people say "his corner stopped it", it is obvious to anyone (well, except you) that we mean - his corner asked to have it stopped and the ref did so at the request of Arreola's best friend.
VK was like a shark in there. He started to really press matters in Rd 9, and after 10 it looked like Chris was beginning to succumb to the punishment. The corner actually stopped it, not the ref. Arreola won't be the same after tonight. I really doubt it after that kind of sustained punishment.
I am glad the fight was stopped. Arreola would have been viciously knocked out if it had not been. Arreola will becoame a world champion after Klitschkos retire.
Why would there be a need for Chris to take a chance of serious injury an ruin his career? He would never quit himself, and everyone saw that tonight.
Most refs wouldn't have stopped it in that situation, but he probably did Arreola a favor because he was going to get knocked out later anyway. So I don't have too much of a problem with it. Only thing that really ticked me off was that the official would keep breaking them immediately even though Vitali's clinches weren't all that tight and Arreola was able to work a right to the body from time to time. You have to let an inside fighter do his work in a situatiion like that.
