What did you think of the Rogan stoppage- should have let him finish out the round?

It was a good stoppage. He had nothing left, Fury was completely in control, and and he was getting beaten up. Why drag it out just for some weird notion of being a warrior?

It was a BS corner stoppage. No doubt he was hurt but he made the decision to get up and fight through it. If a fighter is taking repeated headshots then step in for their safety but not one body shot. Rogan was not getting beaten up.

The ref was nice and clear with his count, Rogan got up at 8 but was still bending down. He wasn't in a position to defend himself and went out the way he wanted to on feet and complaining.

the stoppage was fine. rogan didnt have anything left, every time tyson went to the body he felt it. rogan is a 40 year old man, and would have been put down again with the next body shot.

    The Rules clearly state:

If you trouble Tyson Fury at all, the fight will be stopped in his favor as soon as you're in remotely similar trouble yourself.

to be fair i think rogan was in a far worse condition thatn fury had been in the first two. do you really think rogan could have recovered?

The corner did the referee's job....ref should've stopped it when Rogan didn't raise his gloves to show he can defend himself

Fury was in control, but you must admit there's a pattern developing.

If Fury's been in any trouble at all, his opponents are giving almost no leeway once he seizes momentum.

i would agree with you in some of furys previous fights. without question he has had some early stoppages. but this one was a bit different. rogan went down, just about made it back up and it would have been a matter of time before rogan was down again. i think you could make a case for the Pajkic and Firtha fights. but not this one.

I thought it was the most reasonable stoppage he's had in a while. Plus it was the corner, not the referee, who stopped it.

It's not down to the referee to keep track of the timing of a round. If he thinks it needs to be stopped then it doesn't matter if there were 2 seconds left or 2 minutes.

    Also, it was hardly Chavez-Taylor.

Finish the round only to be battered in the next ... good stoppage.
