I know you have to be kidding with Cruiser:huh Best Division in Boxing is Bantam and im not even including Nonito,Darchinyan check out this top 10 1.Fernando Montiel 2.Yohnny Perez 3.Anselmo Moreno 4.Hosumi Hasegawa 5.Joseph Agbeko 6.Abner Mares 7.Neheonor Ceremano 8.Wladmir Sidorenko 9.Eric Morel 10.Gerry Penalosa You could make a case for JW though, but this top 5 is pretty deep and i would say hands down once Nonito and Vic move up. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=224146 Check out the East Side Boxing rankings and let me know your thoughts. Light Welter and Welterweight are good but very top heavy. Would say Heavyweight is the same. Super Middleweight and Light Heavyweight are up there to. 5-6 decent top names and solid guys after. Light middle is very good when you add Cotto and Martinez to the mix. Featherweight and Bantamweight (especially when you add Darchinyan and Donaire) are the best two though. Look at the top 15's in each division. some divisions are weak at the top but the the level of the fighters are the same like Super Featherweight and Cruiserweight. Any fight in that division is competative between the top 10-15 guys.
Id say the Klitchkos are the only proven heavys everyone else hasnt proven themselves. Although Adamek had a good win.
There are like 10 guys fighting on the same level. Neither is p4p but it´s a very even playing field with very good fighters. Cunningham, Huck, Wlodarczyck are the best at the momnent. They arent much above the rest. Ramirez, Hernandez, Ross, Flores, Afolabi, G. Jones, Hide, Godfrey, Maccarinelli, Brudov, Kraj, Drozd, Fragomeni, Arslan, Braithwaite, even Licina are all decent to good contenders on a very similar level. Than you have great looking prospects in Frenkel, Alexeev, Lebedev. And the big fights are made: Cunningham is fighting Ross Lebedev will fight Alexeev next! Wlodarzcyk just beat Fragomeni Huck beat Ramirez and Afolabi last year. Frenkel will fight Maccarinelli! Hernandez beat Licina recently and so on. It does nt have the top quality of the other divisions but it is very deep on the next level. The deepest division in that regard. I wrote IN NO ORDER! Got it?
I agree. I have been saying for awhile now that CW is one of the most competitive divisions in boxing and that the best do fight the best in it. Hardly any ducking occurs in this division. I didn't know Lebedev was fighting Alexeev. Can't wait for that one. I know Alexeev was meant to be the next big thing in this division but if he doesn't learn to handle good pressure i could see him getting beat by the tough, hard hitting Lebedev. I heard rumours about Mac-Frenkal but didn't know it was confirmed. I can't see anything but a KO victory for Frenkal in this one.
Arent you solid in your picks? Why should you care what anyone else thinks of your opinion? I put rankings together and will stand by my picks if anyone questions them.
Well, I stand by them when I have the better arguments, I don´t when I don´t have the better arguments. That´s the difference between us.
No Mabuza in your top 10 at Light Welterweight? He has a 6 round TKO win over a guy that went 12 rounds and knocked Bradley down twice in the prior fight.
