Are half of these jokes? Especially the Marciano one. Where do you decipher that from?

This thread makes me think of Ali. He always said nasty things to opponents in the ring. Especially during his 2nd run as a fighter. Holmes attested to this on the radio show.

That "what's my name?!" can be seen and heard on video at the of the 7th or 8th round of the Terrel fight. Not one of his most sympathetic moments...

i had a guy in the gym who gave me lifts to the gym he was an amtuer boxer in the army.

He always encouraged me to kiss people in the clinches to throw them off there game.

Saying that the guy was obsessed with semi rule breaking in football (soccer) and boxing, i mean obsessed.

it was a joke. And I meant it in a homo way. Not actually beating him in the fight fight.

..i'm not doubting mcvey, but i do wonder about the source for the alleged marciano to walcott quote. marciano was down for only a few seconds and walcott would was walking to the nuetral corner quickly as marciano hit the ground so i don't know how marciano would have had time to say it. i'm curious now to dig out my tape of the fight and study it.

if it were the other way around i can see the possibilty as marciano would not be heading for his neutral corner so fast....he liked to stand there for a bit and smack his guy again while he was on the canvas.

(my friend suzyQ is going to get pissed when he reads this.)

That Marciano quote sounds kinda gussied up and mythical to me..I think Marciano channeled most verbal **** into physical action...

    Revenge he got..

It think that was on of the few Tyson fights where he continually got stronger and stronger as the fight wore on.

Zab Judah seemed to curse out Mayweather during thier bout.
