Let's say like the Virgil HUnters, Freddie Roach's of the world. How do they seek compensation? flat fee, share of winnings, etc?

Usually a percentage of the purse.. Depends on the trainer.. I think it could vary from 5 to 15 percent. Probably some side deals with fighter also.. Id be ok with them paying my mortgatge and car for life..

    10% for trainers.
    33% for managers.

sometimes the small time/local trainers play the role of being the manager so that they can get more, at 33% for being a trainer & manager of journeyman and local prospects.

But the big time trainers get 10% per contract rules. But there are back door deals, when there's a lot of money involved with big time fighters in big money fights.

    True.
Since he knows many of his fighters are on PEDs from Ariza, Conte and others, he demands extra payments under the table to keep silent.

Maybe it was Abel Sanchez, but I remember some trainer saying the 10% fee usually changed to a smaller flat fee after a fighter became a star.
