What do Brits think of Marco Antonio Barrera

Hamed was a loudmouth but he was never malicious like Floyd or someone. He was a great asset to the sport but just so happened to fight an ATG in MAB.

I personally prefer Morales to Barrera.

im british and barrera is my favourite fighter off all time but i dont really count because i dont support a fighter based on the country hes from i suport the fighter i like beter through fighting style and personality....i do get alot of **** for it when it comes to big fights like the haye and klitschko fights my mates were going ballistic when i said im rooting for klitschko

 

I respect the guy, but i also hate his guts. Firstly for beating Hamed and secondly for being a dirty **** in and out of the ring.

He comes across as a nob IMO.

Also, the guy who threw a beer can at Hamed is a **** as well.

 

He's a balls of steel OG and ATG.
Anyone who judges him on the Khan debacle is only showing their complete ignorance in the rudiments of boxing knowledge.Wait till Addie sees this thread...
His schooling of Hamed was one of the finest examples of poetic justice in boxing history.

 

Sorry but only a perfect example of Khan's love of fighting ATG's who are long past their best and way north of their best weight.

 

I think you'll find most brits love mexican fighters. Think Morales is more popular than Mab, though I suspect that's true the boxing world over.

 

ahh the classic ESB ''schooling' response, its almost as if its become true on here its been said so many times...tell me again what the scorecards were....and tell me what your scorecard is since it was such a schooling

 

I think you have to take into consideration the level of feeling against Hamed before and especially in the immediate build up to the fight.I won't bother going and checking the scorecards but I do remember my 117-110 may have been biased by my admiration for Barrera.I'm sure there was a 116-111 though but I'm happy to be corrected.I have to pick up my 3yo now so I will come back later if a correction is required.

 

the judges scored it 112-115, 112-115, 111-116, so two judges has it by three rounds...so how exactly is it a schooling? its like a myth that has grown on this site that it was some sort of Calzaghe V Lacy beatdown

 

Hamed - MAB is one of those fights i can never bring myself to watching again.
