you do realise jones is 39, calzaghe is nearly 37....and Calzaghe since 2006 has fought 2 unification fights with young guys in their primes whilst in his mid 30s???

And by the way what you're arguing now has nothing to do with your thread beacuse Valero and Chavez being touted is completely different from Calzaghe who like i said is a two weight Ring Champ and held all the major belts.......thats not too shabby

The fact is, Calzaghe is the former WBA/WBO/IBF/WBC super middleweight champion. That means he's won every single belt, and would of held them all at the same time if the IBF didn't strip him.

He's also won the Ring belt, which cements his place as the best in the division. He has dominated the division for 10 years, and is the best ever fighter to fight at 168 in terms of achievement.

He's also technically a 2-weight world champion as he stepped up to beat Bernard Hopkins, the Ring champion and the man at 175, regardless of what his age is. And at the time a top 10 p4p fighter. He also won the title by stepping up and schooling the man at 175 in Tarver, who had previously KO'd the p4p #1.

Valero has achieved nothing, bar an impressive but padded record and an alphabet belt. JC Jr likewise, although I think he could do pretty well if he improves his defence and gets Capetillo as his trainer.

Yeah, because a fight with someone who's never fought a super-middleweight before is career-defining.

And also pavlik. Why would i say kelly is overrated? He deserve props for beating a master boxer in jt 2x.

Yes i should have included chris john but he is full of crap that mentioning his name in this forums is almost close to vomitting..

There were news of that fight almost happening. Kelly can always move up. Haven't you forgotten the thrash words this 2 said about each other? :huh If that was the case why the **** wold both have interest to fight each other? That only means both have the possibilty of facing each other. Take for example rjjr going up to face ruiz. Eveyone laughed about it but rjjr. thrashed ruiz. That would be the same thing kelly would do against joe when they meet imo. :think

I would'nt dare argue with you if you don't believe that jt has skills. I like sweet science but if you like slappy hands doing 23 hit combo ala pokemon then that's up to you....

The possibility of Pavlik fighting Calzaghe has no bearing on Joe being overrated......rating someone is based on ability and achievements and you failed in your thread.....

Everybody criticizes this guy but this guy outboxed kelly at the beginning of their first encounter. He also came up with the gameplan in trying to outbox kelly in the 2nd too. Unfortunately Kelly is just a monster. A monster that even jiggly puff joe would run away but cherry pick old guys like b-hop and rjjr instead.
I give credit to jt on the second fight for staying in his feet till the fight ended though..
