Doesnt Taylor have a rematch clause?

    Anyway....

Duddy is a good fighter. Is strong and quick.

That said, he isnt on Pavlik's level...

It's looks like there is only a 50%50 chance that Taylor will take the rematch right away so it looks like Duddy or Mora might get the call.

About Duddy, I think he is a good all action fighter with good power and fast hands and a fine chin and is top ten material. On the bad side he cuts easy and takes a lot of punishment becuase of slugging style.
While I don't see Pavlik blowing Duddy away early I do see the fight being a fought along the lines Pavlik vs Miranda with Pavlik taking out a Duddy in 7 in real slugfest in which Pavlik gets stunned and hurt himself:bbb

    Sounds pretty accurate.

Firstly Duddy does not deserve a title fight with Pavlik because he has done very little in his career so far.

Secondly he would be destroyed within four rounds.

Duddy is decent and may one day make some serious noise for us to consider him a title threat down the line but at the moment he needs to either face a couple more guys stateside or go the British, Comenwealth and European belt way (which I would like as then I would see more of him).

John probably wouldn't fight for a British title under any conditions .

He's fighting Noe Alcoba(the guy who Sturm beat on points in his last fight) on the 20th of this month in Dublin and then on the 1st/8th of December he will be fighting against a yet to be named opponent in Belfast .

Should he beat Alcoba and then another opponent of slightly better quality he will be as deserving of a title shot as anyone at middleweight(bar Abraham , Taylor and maybe Sturm) .

I can't see John being able to beat Pavlik and I reckoned he'd get stopped in about 5 rounds but if Pavlik stays at middle for 2/3 more fights you can guarentee Duddy will be one of them .

If Duddy can improve his defence....a lot .... then i think he can compete with the best in the division. He will probably come up short but will certainly be no push-over.
He is very tough, good chin, decent power and tons of heart. His ****-poor defense will be his downfall but he sure is good to watch

While it would be nice for Duddy or More to have fight a box off for a shot at Pavlik either with with each other or with some like Giovanni Lorenzo to be deserving of there shot, it not likely too happen. As from Pavlik point of view he would losing a big money fight with one of them losing. Both Duddy and Mora gets lots of press and have pretty big followings, wins over them in the USA might do more for Pavlik then even a win over Abraham would in terms of making Pavlik big in USA.:deal
I wish though Pavlik would do what Monzon did and Ali did and fight all around the world and go too Germany too fight Abraham, as a fight between the two champs would be a bigger media event in Germany then it would be here in USA.:smoke and make Pavlik a world wide star:happy

Duddy is very entertaining to watch and he has a tremendous left hook but I think his chin is just too easy to hit. Puncher's chance but if I was looking for an Irish middleweight I'd follow Andy Lee.
