I would class a good spar as one when i've done something in particular better than usual, or just if i've done particularly good against a sparring partner I usually don't do so well against. It's usually easy to gauge for me aswell cause most my sparring partnrs are a lot more experienced than me

My favorite sessions are the ones where we both **** around with trying to use "technique" for two rounds, and then one of us realizes "hey, we aren't really this good, why don't we just **** each other up?"

(^I'm usually that guy.) Most of my sparring sessions are A. Me being beaten up by a much better fighter, or B. Me and a guy at my level having a tearup.

  5. i would consider a good spar , when i beat on the other guy and dont get beat back

Never taking a shot to the dome. :)

I like it when a guy has something that gives me issues and I am able to effectively neutralize it and begin to assert my weapons.

I LOVE Boxing guys with speed, good jabs, and footwork. Going up against speed makes you rely completely on strategy because just firing doesn't work.

Coming out of it better - not than the other partner/s, but better than you was going in, so if I learned something new, did something good, im generally happy.
