He's a guy who came in to train with barely any skill, worked his butt off and became a champion of UFC. He used his advantages to the best of his ability and he beat tough opponents to get there. He was simply an awkward and perhaps oversensitive guy which made him susceptible to emotional damage to loses, and media and fan scrutiny. He talked some **** when he was at the top so I don't feel to bad about him. Mostly because he called Fedor "Scrawny little ****" at some point.
Sylvia still has some moves. Suprised he didn't become a regular in SF. Maybe he fell out with UFC and fought for Aflliction, maybe the same is true for others like Arlovski.
i never liked the bloke because of his conceitedness and always thought of him as a ***.... and this picture proves it This content is protected
Moves? Like what? Falling like a poleaxed redwood tree when old man Mercer nailed him? Being obliterated by bum Abe Wagner in thirty seconds? The guy is and always has been a fat joke. The only halfway impressive part of his career is when he was roided to the gills and he even sucked ass then, he was just fighting even bigger jokes than himself.
The guy is a two-time UFC heavyweight champion. What the **** have YOU done with YOUR life? Talked a bunch of **** on the internet? Awesome work mate, I guess Sylvia's the joke and you're the winner eh. atsch :hat
i watched a video where joe rogan was talking about how past and presant UFC champions have conducted themselves outside the cage. he was saying GSP was a nice guy, humble and when he was out didnt make a big deal of him being champ. then he went on to say when Sylvia was champ he would go to a club with his belt on and pull chicks. he went up in my estimation.
Sylvia is legit, is experienced and is a huge fighter who could still beat JDS, Cain, Overeem. People discount him because he is no longer in the UFC. It seems that fighters are judged as good not because of their fights, their experince, wins, and their skills. It seems that fighters are judged good solely from being buddies with Dana and the Fertitta's. Zombies will believe any hype, the same hype that catapulted Brock, Carwin, and Cain to the top of the HW ladder without really having the best resume.
You only like him because he fought Fedor. If he never fought Fedor, you'd be calling him a hype job the same as you do every other UFC heavyweight. Get the **** out of my thread, your overwhelming obsession with Fedor is flat out creepy and disturbing. Get professional help and never post here again, or just kill yourself. Either option works for me. :thumbsup :hat
Big and ugly enough to be riding a fat boy Harley, and Sylvia rides a ****ing motor scooter Still gotta hand it to the guy. He did win the title off Rodriguez and go 9-4 in the octagon.
Nope, Tim is legit because he is a legit fighter who is experienced and have shown more than the bare minimum in skills. Ive called Brock a hype job because he is a 5-3 fighter who runs away from punches, Ive called Carwin a hype job because he gasses after one round. These two fighters havent shown the bare minimum in many of their fights. Brock especially doesnt even have any punch resistance. Even Bas Rutten saw this and bagged him in the same manner I have. Most fighters and trainers actually think that Brock being promoted as the baddest man was a joke.
You wouldnt understand or probably say his earlier fights. Youve probably started watching MMA during the TUF era and probably though that Matt Mitrione versus Scott Junk was high level MMA:rofl:rofl.
