What do you guys think about his performance ? I really like his combinations, body punching, can fight on inside, great reflexes, very fast with good footwork. It looks like he lacks power, hope he works on that.

    Here is the fight:

I can never hype prospects, especially Cuban ones, after what happened to Robeisey Ramirez. Still, this guy looks quick and exciting to watch. A bit of a shoe-shiner though.

Lost his debut bout to a 4-2-2 unknown. Seems to be doing well now though, but it was incredibly shocking at the time.

    So what?
Bernard Hopkins lost his pro debut.
Doesnt matter, the 0 is just a marketability tool.

Double Olympic Gold medallists should not be losing their debut to a 4-2-2 club fighter. It was enough to destroy any prospect hype for me, for any fighter. Maybe Robeisey has a fire under his ass now and will win a world title (he certainly has the talent for it, I watched all his filmed am fights over the years) but it goes to show that 'being a prospect' means absolutely nothing.

    I agree with you.
Maybe he took the guy lightly.
Either way that loss has no real meaning, looked like an off night and that was it.

He is exciting to watch, but lacks power in his hands.

Here is interview with him, looks like a humble kid with bad luck in life.

I remember some footage when he sparred Sugar Ray Robinson. He is indeed talented.

Maybe he means the current Philadelphia fighter who is also called Ray Robinson.
