This fight is definitely between the two best fighters in the division. Bob Arum should request IBF or WBC to sanction this fight. IBF title should have been awarded to Hatton in his last fight but for some reason it was not at stake. Manny can probably convince, to the tune of $350K-500K, Sulaiman to have the WBC belt on the line by requesting the title holder to give up the title for some reasons or deals. These belts can be political in nature and they should try their best to sanction the fight. Manny may never have the chance to earn a title at 140 lbs because he will never fight the champions there for economic reasons. He will have better chances to earn a belt at 147, probably on multiple occassions, than 140. This may be his only chance to earn a title at junior welterweight division. The amount of money (even at $500K) is meager addition, for all concerns, to the pot after taxes. Manny missed a legitimate title at 126# eventhough he beat the best (Barrera) at that weight. Twenty years from now, we can say he won belts at 112, 122, 130, 135, 140, 147. I still consider him the righteous king of 126# by beating Barrera (who trashed the belt before the fight) and due to the scoring error in the Pacquiao-Marquez I bout. He will have 6 titles (which is really 7) by then. He will come down as possibly one ot the top-three all time This content is protected [/COLOR][/COLOR] greats. Manny should be creative and use his influence to have a real belt at stake for this fight. Why will not the IBF sanction this fight? If Manny wins, they have a superstar in their organization. WBC head Sulaiman brags about Manny all the time. What do you think guys? Is there anything that can be done to sanction this fight?

If Manny was after belts at this time he'd be fighting for them. Manny has entered that sphere of fights where its no longer the best fight the best but the stars fight the stars. It's sad but those days of Manny proving things are gone just as they were for Hoya and Mayweather. From then on it's all about how much mondey does it make?
manny should starve weightdrain himself to 126 (he can do it with enough discipline) whoop Gamboa's ass and then go back to 140 if he wants the 126 trinket that badly.
