Sorry to spoil your fun with facts, but Wilder has been calling out Tyson Fury & Bryant Jennings for 2 years straight. They won't face him. Why GBP can't get him better opposition is bewildering, and frustrating, but Wilder isn't ducking anyone. He fights whomever they give him, and he does it 4-6 times a year. He stays in great condition, gets into the ring, and gets the job done. I'm sure he's even more frustrated than we are, but at least it's paying for his daughters heavy medical bills.
He shouldn't be looking at fighters of that level unless he wants to go the way of Price. Tough journeymen who can take him rounds and allow him to work on ironing out his flaws are what he needs, and badly. Zack Page and Jason Gavern would be ideal. Then he can move onto guys like Guinn and Sprott.
I think with the right type of training he'd make a decent NBDL development league Basketball Player because he ain't no Heavyweight prospect.
I would really like to see him step it up in his next fight because I think the term tomato can for his opponents thus far is a nice way of putting it. Someone who does not have the power to end it with one shot and can box for 8-10 rounds would be ideal. Hopefully he can avoid the embarrassment that price went through.
This content is protected He's a member of Fraudley's gang. All four of these guys are frauds. Malik Scott and Deontay Wilder have chicken legs.
Wilder is like Gerry Cooney, he'll be protected and then thrown to the wolves when a big payday comes along.
Don King did a very good job at keeping Cooney out of fights after he KO'd Norton in the first rnd. His next fight was over a year later with prime Larry Holmes for the HW championship and he still managed to take Larry into the 13th rnd. Not many boxers on the planet could do that at that time. Different situation with Wilder other than they were/are both being hyped as the next "hope"
