Save yourself some time and stop replying to me. I just don't care what you have to say.[/QUOTE] Nor I you. I just wanted it on record that you didn't have the guts to argue your position when challenged on your statement.
If he has his reasons I'd like to hear them. Anything wrong with that? Its called having the courage of your convictions I take exception to him trying to be disparaging when he obviously didn't even know who Tiger Jack Fox was,his knowledge of light heavyweight boxing and its history is minimal. What difference does it make ? That's easy, Carpentier did not have 5 fights at the weight and only one decent victory over a past prime fighter who would not make the all time top 20 in any credible list. So how can he be a top 15 fighter in that division? There have been many great light heavyweights and I named 30 better than Carpentier. Now I ask you why does Carpentier belong with them? Where are his wins at175lbs? You want to rank him on a 4rdsfight in which he didnt win a round and his opponent was taking it easy for 2 of the rds ? Name one occasion when I've denied relevant facts and for God's sake don't bring up Johnson v Jeannette when I denied nothing and you got totally the wrong end of the stick and like a dog with a bone kept worrying it for a dozen posts! I won't make any more threads here. and you of all people should know why!

They call him," mellow yellow"! You rank Carpentier top all time 15 on the basis of him beating guy who was 5 times thrashed by a fighter you described as a middleweight.. Cretin
You replied on the Ortiz v Carnera thread because you mistakenly thought you had some ammunition, which is why you failed to do so on this one. I'd throw you a life belt, but I enjoy seeing mean spirited **holes drown! No guts,= no credibility. Now type again how you don't give a ****. Silly b***cks.
Oh so this is what all of this is about! Nice of you to show your true colors! I wasn't mistaken about anything. You are a double standard mother****er who has nothing better to do than to come on an internet forum and berate people. Get a life.
Want to compare our lives to see who has it best? I've had 3 holidays this year and am booked for another 2 .I'm comfortably off and retired .I have all the time in the world to do what I want. You're just a silly little man who thinks he can make himself relevant by typing one- liners and avoiding any real debate on his opinions.
Good for you! Have you found time for anymore colourisation of old time fights? The idea of seeing Dempsey and Willard in colour is intruiging!
Good, he has a curious stance as I recall, legs quite far apart ,and he seems to jump in with one twos. Gunboat Smith complained he was always bouncing up and down. He took a terrific beating from Tunney, the guy had balls..
He was a very solid fighter. This video with Niles, to me, is his coup de grace of the footage we have available of him. This content is protected He shows lots of versatility here, between footwork, head movement, inside work, and punching. There are moments like this where he shows a really good feel for the rhythm and timing. And IQ, not punching just because he is in range, but delaying his attack to the opponents movement. https://streamable.com/snoys His performance against Dempsey was really good all things considered. Dempsey wasn't in killer instinct mode, but Georges did much better against an all time boxing finisher than he should've. He could employ a very standard "in the pocket" stance as you can see in some points in the Niles video, where he looks very poised and measured. And then, he goes off into an unorthodox, face paced stance, where he bobs up an down and shifts with his feet, with an odd guard meant to lure you for counters. He lacked the monk like focus and consistency that it takes to guarantee wins in the bag that his talent should've enabled him. But a popular champion, an able fighter with some unique abilities. His fame seemed to have exceeded his ability, yet there were moments where he could remind you why he deserved the recognition.
