It's not astoundingly deep - But in context of the division and the fighters available to him at his weight it's a very very good pro resume if not an all time great one in context of the division - Certainly top 5 no matter how you slice it.

At the time he retired he had faced more active or former World Title holders than any other fighter than DLH or Roy Jones Jnr, unified a division which in modern times is no mean feat.

Some will call him out for not fighting Vince Phillips again, but really he only offered revenge and not a means to a belt or a better payday. I think that Tszyu gave Mitchell a rematch and the way he handled Mitchell in that rematch shows the kind of fighter he was and I would have favoured Tszyu to beat Philips in a rematch, people forget how much hell Philips had to walk through to get that victory.

Chavez is obviously the biggest "name" on his resume - But no one is saying that's what prime on prime matchup would look like and I don't think many people would pick KT over Chavez.

He handled Juan La Porte in only his 5th pro fight, fought Livingstone Bramble in his 11th, won a world title in his 15th pro fight, defended it 4 times (5 really, Leonardo "No" Mas was not in his league) before Phillips and then went on a 9 fight, 8 stoppage streak before making Zab do the dance of the new born giraffe.

    Pretty darn good.

pretty crappy. went one and one with the only 2 guys in their prime that were considered dangerous...fought alot of older fighters on their way down, and the fact that he fought sharmba mitchell 2 times, doesnt say much.... also he when KTFO, he never set up an immediate rematch...ala roy jones vs montell griffin

Its a good record, but like Bernard Hopkins, he is a much better fighter than his record shows

    Thats probably fair.

How come no one ever talks about his pounding of Gonzalas? Thats fight gave him his World Title back and it was a cracking fight. Maybe it was because of Gonzalas' toughness, i dont know, but its one on my fave Tszyu fights.
