I think from what I've seen of him sparring a young Mayweather and his current record (albeit not against amazing competition), I'd say he's a good fighter. His inactivity hurts him a alot. He began his pro debut in 95 and takes a number of 2 year breaks. What do you guys think? Would he be the toughest challenge for Floyd? In his prime, he was very good. Very quick, excellent boxer of average power. Very slick. His style would have been very difficult for a young Mayweather. He was also a piece of **** who deserves to still be in jail.
Ok, I'm not trying to bring what he did outside of the ring into this. I understand what he did was wrong but let's just talk about his boxing skills. Is he still good? Good enough to challenge Mayweather?
real nice dude, that would take his time to help out all the young fighters in the gym without being asked, even when he was a millionaire an didnt have to. just to offset some of the negative **** people here say
smooth, sharp jab, threw a lot of punches and hard to hit. and a hard worker in general. shut out a lot of guys in his prime. was a biggish draw and a lot of hype and good performer when i was gettign into boxing. 2007 was supposed to be his comeback tour and he messed it up. he is a contender now just because of passed accomplishments and his skills, but too far passed it to make a real dent personally. long lay off and not helpful to himself. he is a **** though, might be nice in one way but shooting a human being, shooting soemone you love, shooting your girlfriend....**** him....****..HIM
I remember he was in one of the knockout kings games I used to play as a kid. As far as his career goes he's got a decent record of nobodies and probably should be rotting in prison for the rest if his life but that's another story.
Spadafora was slightly above average in his prime. He would have lost eventually if he hadn't went to jail. It blows my mind that people think he still has a chance to accomplish anything now.
he just totally outclassed a b level fighter. i think he deserves a shot against a decent a level fighter
hes gettin old n deserves a shot its now or nuttin for him but continues to fight bums . maybe nowone doesnt want to fight him . but hes also managed by roy jones n i think that might be the problem
lulz, never a problem for Mayweather. People forget- Spaddy vs. Dorin (a lightweight unification bout) was staged, all to set up a matchup against Floyd. Spaddy was in his hometown, got a gift draw, everyone including the commentators agreed neither had a chance and Floyd went up in weight. Then Dorin got obliterated by Gatti. Forums loved him that he did well against Floyd in sparring after about 4 rounds of getting worked, as they did for countless guys.
