Maybe you're thinking of the old RING magazine hall of fame. What happened to that ?
This HOF is the IBHOF, and I think it's a relatively new thing, like less than 20 years old.

I wouldn't ever take it seriously though, it's always going to be kind of meaningless to people like us. I mean, we all have our own opinions here as to who the great fighters and people in boxing history are. To expect our own individual views to be reflected even by a poll of good historians and experts is expecting too much.
