His second fight with Eubank was fantastic. He walked the seemingly stronger and more durable Eubank down battering him all night in a give and take battle until Eubank unleashed that uppercut from hell. Tragic ending that - but a great fight up until the end. I may be off the mark - but Watson seemed to be the English version of Winky Wright with a high and tight guard, excellent technique but more power.

amazing to see him fight through it. that unbreakable will served him greatly in the ring, and no doubt it's serving him greatly in life.

yeah as far as i can remember i dont recall mccallum being in any danger in the fight

watson on the other hand wow that was a hell of a beating he took

if anyone was a beast it was mccallum

mccallum is an ATG and a legend of the sport and yeah he beat watson fair and square, and beat him quite badly. but watson showed tremendous courage, he took a beating yes, he also gave a pretty much prime mcallum all he could handle. you tube it.

Watson didn't put McCallum in much danger, but to say it was one sided is a little strong.

The Bodysnatcher was a clear winner, and would have been had it gone the distance, but it was hardly Mayweather vs Corrales.

people have totally missed the point of this thread. michael watson has fought a much bigger fight than the mcallum fight and it doesnt matter how easy or hard mcallum found it. watson has transcended all that and has proved people wrong. if you remember when he was lying half dead the calls for boxing to be banned here where louder than they ever were, medical assistance at ring side in this country was shite . he changed both these things single-handedly. no-one gave him a chance of even living never mind becoming the inspiration that he is now to people who know.
