    Since the Taylor fight?

Bit overrated? Special? Insane? Best that a UK SWM has ever had?

How will History remember this run of opponents that Carl Froch has had?

Better than his run before the Taylor fight.

Slightly overrated. Special in an era when far too many cautious fights are made. Sane. Yeah, the best run that any UK super weight middle has ever had.

History will remember this run of opponents that Carl Froch has had as the above.

It's a great run but Id argue that they are all bar bute and ward B level fighters (although that's not Carl's fault) and therefore it's overrated by some.

But yea still the best run.

I think he'll be remembered as someone who didn't duck anyone, he has always been willing to fight all challengers, and he's been willing to do it on the road.

For that he earns the upmost of respect IMO

Id say so. Ward (and p4p wise martinez, floyd, pac, marquez, donaire etc) and he are a class apart.

Kessler is still top level, though.

Other than Joe, Kessler was the best SMW out there and was after Joe retired.

Well yea, it depends on your definition I suppose, he's certainly not elite or a p4p fighter. good, solid world champ, nothing more nothing less. Same as I'd rate Carl.

    Like them both though.

He's still a bit behind Joe's run of Bika, PMJr, Kessler, Hopkins and a slightly past prime RJJr.

  10. It's impressive but he only made one big balled decision and that was to enter the Super Six. The run of opponents were all in the Super Six. It's not like he fought one then looked for another one to fight, the opponents were all lined up for him in the tournament.

Carl's record would look so much better without that Kessler defeat...that must really annoy him cos it was a fight he could and should have won imo. Even winning a rematch won't really get him the credit to erase that.

The best SMW doesn't count as an A level fighter. :patsch

Pascal, Taylor, Direll, Kessler, Abraham, Johnson, Ward and Bute is without doubt impressive, also wanted Calzaghe.

Heading to the States and getting a KO win on his 1st defence probably the highlight.

Hats off for what is a remarkable run of fights against top opposition.
