    All things equal, linear. But it can depend on the situation.

    Mike Tyson was cleaning out the division, winning the WBC, WBA, and IBF belts, while the linear champ Michael Spinks was defending his title against Larry Holmes (gift decision), Steffen Tangstad, and Gerry Cooney who was fighting for the 2nd time in 30 months.

    And let's not even get into the top-notch opposition faced by Zsolt Erdei.

    Erdei is Lineal not linear though.
