I personally like someone talks ****. It gets the hype going, and its more impressive when the person talking can back it up. Its also funny when the person talks a bunch of **** and then gets his ass whooped. But ultimately' its all about the performance in the ring, whether it be a **** talker or a quiet fighter.

Quiet/Humble Fighters-As my football coach once said "son let your pads do the talking"-no different in this case or boxing-let your hands/fists do all the talking-all **** talkers pay the piper and end up sounding like a ***** once they get dropped. I don't know what's more funny there excuses-or there facial expression when there in a state of denial.

I think we need both but I actually like a **** talker as long as he's good at it. James was the best and most entertaining outside of ALI. But you gotta love SOME of the humble quiet guys who handle business in the ring.

Both.. a **** talker who can back it up or a humble guy who fights like a dog. However I especifically hate **** talkers who don't back their $hit up.. Hello Fraud Mayweather!!

But it's the ones who actually back up their talk and who can walk the walk whom make it an exciting experience.

Nope it's what you do in the ring-that's what makes it more exciting and what counts. Prime examples JMM or Pacquiao among cornucopia of fighters.

In general i don't like **** talkers. Though there are kind of two types, guys who fancy themselves all around entertainers (Mayweather) and guys who just like to talk smack about boxing (Froch, Darchinyan).

I don't mind **** talking if i feel its somewhat genuine and not too unrealistic, in this manner, i like Froch. He talks a bit of **** but when it comes down to it, knows when to be a nice, classy guy.

But in general a **** talker is less likely to meet the demands and standards set for them, so they are more easily disliked.

I prefer when a boxer talk with his fist. But all the big talkers above are also good for the sports and add some flavour to the game.

It really depends - if it entertains me then I don't mind. I liked Mayorga because his insults were truly superior. Issuing a press release to chide Forrest for not sending him a father's day card was pretty damn funny.

I don't really like Floyd's trash talking because he comes across as wanting us to take what he says seriously but I just don't buy it. As a result of anti-American sentiment around here, though, I tend to like him more these days.

I like both, but a trash talker has to be good at it, and back it up.
