B-Hop. He is one of those few fighters who can articulate properly and talk sense. A boxer who hasn't had his head beaten stupid. His talk is smart, and his fight is smart.

I like a **** talker who can actually speak with his fists too.

There is far too many **** talkers like Tarver who does **** all to back his **** up

I prefer the quiet confidence. The guy that is quiet until he enters the ring then its like a different guy appears. To me **** talkers talk because its the only way they can build there own confidence. Quiet guys seem to be confident from the begining...IMO

Not all **** talkers are entertaining.
Not all quiet fighters are actually reserved... they just don't speak "english".

For what it's worth, the better hype comes from other people's mouths.

    Both.

But I tend to like my ****-talkers to be slightly comical, ala Naz, so we all know its more of an showman's act rather than some kind of toxic personality.

doesn't make a difference to me. Sometimes I like fighters who talk **** a little bit more because often times people want them to lose.

Prefer both. It's great when the **** talker gets his ass whooped.

Yeah I liked Eubank. The guy was hilarious, a one in a million all the poisturing and posing. Makes me laugh now when I think about it.

I prefer the quiet reserved type, but a ****-talker has to be funny and good natured to get my attention (James Toney would be a good example). The ****-talker has to be entertaining and use their mouth to sell the fight. I don't like it when fighters are full of themselves, talk tons of cocky disrespectful type ****, and make bull**** excuses everytime they lose.

Boxing is a multi layer sport with a lot of different dynamics. And I feel you need to have that diversity in order to appeal to a mass audience. Excitement is what you do in the ring and what you do in order to build atmosphere for a fight. Guys with "personalities" both humble and brash is good for boxing. What counts the most is what you do in the ring but it's not the only thing that counts when you are able to bring excitiment before the first bell even sounds.

Some **** talkers can do it with a lot of charisma, they can mix humor, wit, and machismo in a way that can be attractive and genuinely compelling to look forward to watching and hearing. Other **** talkers can be just completely arrogant and condescending and completely full of themselves, often seeming to mask deeper insecurity issues...which ususally comes off as very unattractive...these guys are the ones you only want to watch to see the holy **** beat out of them.
Quiet guys are not all the same either. Some exude a quiet steely confidence that makes you know not to mess with them, that they are fearless and deadly. Other quiet guys seem shy or unsure of themselves. So I can like some **** talkers and some quiet types, and of course I can strongly dislike some mouthy types or have no confidence in some quiet types. They shouldn't all be typed into simple boxes.
