Not necessarily his best victory, his best performance in the ring.

The Cotto fight also showed that he could adjust, and that he had a good inside game.

Cotto is the one who began making a comeback in the Mayweather fight in the mid rounds

Most impressive is the fact you can genuinely argue his best performance could be anywhere in a 16 year span, which is very rare. There are small peaks throughout his whole career too.

I think it goes without saying the Corrales fight; he was red-hot that night against a dangerous opponent and he beat him up with ease.

The Hernandez fight was a smoking hot performance too, so slick.... and fighting on the front foot with genuine venom in his punches. That was a great performance to win a first belt.

Other than those, the Gatti beatdown was pretty memorable.

Gatti and Hernandez fights, great outings by Floyds

the Marquez schooling was also a masterclass, though it's stained by the CW's and Floyd's weight making issues

    Anyway, for me:

    1. Corrales
    2. Hernandez
    3. Gatti

Canelo is the only Mayweather opponent where I thought it was the right fight to take at the right time for the fans. He boxed expertly and made a top class opponent look ordinary, by far his best performance in my opinion.

Would you rank his performance against shot blown up strawweight journeyman Pacquiao in his top 10? :think

tbf it was probably better than dragging old JMM up 3+ weight classes to fight "undisclosed" weight
