What do you see as Abrahams weaknesses, in the aftermath of the fight this weekend?

I agree with this. For example a guy like Chad Dawson would counter him to hell and back for doing that.

Arthur Abraham = Joshua Clottey - melanin + 20 pounds + KO power

IMHO, it looks like AA whole game is to end fights in the last 4 rounds. He will end it earlier if the guy stands right in front of him, shows fatigue or has huge holes in his game. He doesn't set up much with footwork, feints, or combination punching. He waits, and waits, and waits...

I cannot believe a "green" guy like Dirrell could put the mitts on AA like that. I still think AA doesn't have many weaknesses. He just ran up against a physical mismatch in the foot and hand speed department. He still did well.

His stamina is stitty too, that's why he throws about 15 punches a round.

The guy always gives away too many rounds for being so inactive. He puts himself in a must KO situation to win.

Yeah but "a hard punching long range fighter with good lateral movement and a decent beard" would give anyone trouble, don't you think? :yep

If Dirrel wouldn't have had the reach advantage and the great footwork, he would've lost the fight. The fighter to beat Abraham has to have both - like Dirrell.

Hes a pressure fighter that cuts off the ring and picks his shots. Dirrell just fought a very good fight. I thought from the beginning both Dirrell and Ward were the best talented fighters, but Dirrell was just too green. Ward should be able to easily duplicate what Dirrell did because hes stronger, just as fast and a little more ring savvy. AA has always had those weaknesses, but they are hard to overcome because of his tremendous strength, so really more credit should be given to Dirrell for starting to fufill his potential and become a more seasoned pro fighter.

He's still very good but the following are his downfall :

    - Low workrate because he relies too much on his power.

    - Wide looping hooks and rights that can be countered by guys with decent timing.

    - He practically never goes to the body to breakdown his opponents. He never really needed to considering the level of his past opponents besides Dirrell.

-No head and upper body movement.

Kostya Tsyzu was pretty successful using a similar style. AA is what he is, and these guys Ward and Dirrell just have the styles to beat him if they can stand up to his pressure.

Wasn't Tsyzu busier earlier on in his fights.... Guys with good speed, that fight off angles and are simply busier than him should always beat Abraham.

I also have the feeling that he doesn't fight too well going backwards. It reminds me of the game plan Pavlik had against another fighter with really good power, minus the good defence, in Edison Miranda.
