After Tito, Erik is my favorite fighter ever.

So I support him but dont want him to get hurt so I wish he would not do it anymore

George still had his incredible power and he was already at heavyweight so he wasnt moving up. On top of that he had a world class trainer and a much improved defense.

Thing about Erik is his power already wasnt the same at 130 as it was at 122 and 126 and I can see him getting into exchanges at 140 and being really out gunned which he isnt used to.

Also as I said even if he does win and look good against this guy, it will just encourage him to go on and fight better opponents and there is no way he is beating some of the top 140 guys out there.

I guess at this point the best I can hope for is that strategy wise he chooses to use his boxing skills and avoid slugging it out. Maybe he can get a UD without taking much damage.

Well who knows we'll see in his first comeback fight if he still has it. I enjoyed watching him changing blows with Pac. To be honest Pac's fights with the Mexicans are always interesting because I'm not really sure who'd win. I couldn't say the same thing on his recent fights.

Morales is a grown man. Promoters are not babysitters. This is a business. Morales is shot and should no longer be fighting, but if he wants to fight, that's all on him. I've never understood this baby mindset that fighters should be coddled and protected from themselves. If one promoter refuses, another will do it and make the money. Morales is a name and it would be stupid for a promoter to decline just because they don't feel he has it anymore.

Castillo-Morales at WW would probably sell pretty good and would be a good fight.
Although i can see both guys taking alot of punishment in that one.

    I think it sucks........Bad!

Eric is one of my favorites. Watching him quit against Pac was bad enough, now this.

Erik probably can't think of anything better to do with all his free time. He was born and raised to be a boxer. Just hope he doesn't get seriously hurt.

I don't like it but ultimately it's his life and what he does with it is what he does with it. I'm only a fan, I can only support him.

I don't agree with the attitude of the poster in question, White.

Morales may "know" himself better than anyone else but he's also a fighter by nature who could be blinded by the situation. Everybody who's ever had an injury knows that the majority of us give bad self diagnosis'. I think everyone has had a cold that you thought was just a cold and turned out to be something bigger.

Morales may think "Oh I'm fine, I know I can still box" but I'm sure Barrera and company feel the same way. It's just how fighters are.
