What do you think about Pacquiao's jab?

it's a range finder for his left. juan knows those jabs wont affect him so he manages to time it and BOOOOOOOM.

His lead left is far superior, as far as connecting is concerned.

He throws two kinds of jabs basically, one is a soft range finder.
The other is a stiff, slightly curved jab that prepares the way for his left.

 

Not a textbook jab but really effective for his style

 

I think it's really good. The only time he doesn't fully commit to the jab is when he intends to feint it and follow up with the left or hook off of it.

I would rate it far below other things in PAC's skill set. It is more of a setup punch cause I feel it is hard to land. PAC is not very tall for that division at only 5ft6. Maybe if he was in a lower weight class he could be more effective with it. I'd say as far as top P4P fighters go its a slightly below average jab. But in terms of just boxing itself its decent, elite defensive fighters will not be given trouble by it though...(Rios is not one of them lol)

 

It's not really that good, I like how his right hook has developed over the years though, but the jab is just meh.........

 

He sure as hell could use it against counterpunchers like Marquez.
