True, though the heavyweight threads are usually of the lowest quality anyway.Just too much bias and fanboy bull****.

It means he can't really comeback as well in english because spanish is his first language.

I don't really think he's that bad, maybe a little harsh when expressing his opinions, I mean I definitely don't agree with everything he's saying here.

Bruno had a decent chin. Took about 10 shots flush from Bonecrusher in a row before sucumbing....and even then he had the senses to get up just after the ref said 10. Took massive punches from Witherspoon, Lewis and Tyson twice and finished on his feet each time. He was never sparked out with one shot like Lewis was.

Try explaining that to the OP

  9. THE GREAT DIFFERENCE IS THAT THIS GUY SAID HIS OPINION WITH RESPECT,HE SAID "BRUNO HAD A DECENT CHIN"(I DISAGREE BUT I RESPECT HIM), YOU SAID "BRUNO HAD A VERY GOOD CHIN(WHAT A JOKE) AND YOU ARE IDIOT"... AND I RESPECT HIS OPINION, AND CAN´T RESPECT A GUY LIKE YOU...:deal

It was by far the most effective single punch I saw Cummings land in competition. (I also watched the entirety of Frazier-Cummings and Snipes-Cummings for a little context.)

Occasionally, I do contribute to agenda driven threads, and sometimes agree with the starter's opinion. Doesn't mean I won't sharply disagree with the same poster next time (and it would be a deadly dull place if we were all a bunch of happily agreeable chuckleheads).

Tyson dropped Bruno ten seconds into round one of their initial bout with the first right hand that connected, a round which also saw Frank later wobble Mike with a hook, so it's not as if the fast starting Tyson simply managed to catch the also fast starting Bruno cold. What happened to Bruno against Tyson 2X and Cummings can't simply be dismissed to stamina issues. Obviously, his crisis management ability left a lot to be desired. However, I recall that he crumbled pretty abruptly against Lennox from a single hook in round seven, after Frank stopped Coetzer in eight and Carl Williams in ten. There's ample footage evidence that a single punch could lead to him getting stopped before fatigue became a factor. Round five of Tyson I was the most sustained beating I saw him succumb to, then round ten of Smith-Bruno, then round 11 of Witherspoon (which wasn't all that protracted).

However, what happened in the opening seconds of Tyson I, the opening round with Cummings, then at the end with Lennox and Tyson II, do provide some evidence that he was always susceptible to that one big shot from either hand.

Obviously very good but not "iron". He toke clean shots from Lewis & Tyson(in two fights) and didn't end the fights laying on his back. Lewis and Tyson have great power no? Even Witherspoon & Smith had very good power it's Bruno's stamina that I would question more than anything.

It's pretty simple... he freezes up when hit with big shots.. I really think his chin was more like Norton or Shavers' chin...

    Pretty much how I feel.

This is somebody seemingly very passionate in the opinions expressed, which boxing needs more than former fans like me who gave up on contemporary boxing decades ago. Combat and I have agreed about some things, and disagreed about others. I expect we will both agree and disagree in the future. That's fine, it makes this place tick.

If people with glass jaws do not belong in boxing, do people with glass minds and glass sensibilities belong on a boxing website?

More established posters were patient with me when I started here, welcomed me and treated me with civility even when they didn't agree with my more raw, opinionated and unprocessed views. I've no problem doing likewise with new arrivals, and giving them time to fit in without sacrificing their individuality. Anybody who truly doesn't belong here will eventually abandon this forum anyway. Combat has strenuously disagreed with some of my opinions, but he's never insulted me personally.

With any poster consistently submitting genuinely idiotic and ignorant content, amusement is the only response I can appropriately possess. (Anybody who knows the story behind my user name already understands this.) I'm certainly not above yanking chains for the sheer kick of laughing at the resulting outrage. (My conduct in the Lounge has been criminal at times.)
