Why are you pissed? Just give Showtime a chance man. Their Boxing broadcast team is head shoulders above HBO's.
HBO never could get Mayweather to take on a live opponent. Showtime now has. You dont hand someone the type of money Showtime did to Mayweather without some major stipulations in it for poor PPV sales. Somewhere in that contract there had to be a stipulation where if a certain matchup did below a certain buyrate, showtime then had the authority to choose between a list of opposition. We know Canelo was on a a list of possible future opponents for Mayweather, and since the Guerrero fight did'nt meet expectations, Showtime got to deal the hand and force Mayweather to fight the opponent they felt would meet expectations.
