I had these exact same thoughts at the time. The fight was already being tagged as a farce, so when he decided to not honour the catchweight agreement, that further harmed any respect that fight had. His decision to keep his fight-night weight a secret was a wise one. He knew he'd be criticized even more if there was evidence of him weighing 15 or so pounds heavier than his little opponent.

Also, I never did believe the rib injury claim in the lead up to the fight. I think he was struggling to make the weight in time for July, which is why he pushed it further back to September.

But with that said, I think Floyd's fight-night weight is around 155. Which makes you think, if Floyd was taking a page out of Pacquiao's book, he'd be fighting regularly at light middleweight. He should actually be the first person to be told to fight Martinez, not Pacquiao.

Watch Mayweather vs Judah or Hatton or Baldomir.

    Then watch Mayweather vs Mosley.

If you can't use your eyes to see the difference in Mayweather, I suggest a trip to the optometrist.

Floyd is clearly bigger, heavier, musclier, bulkier than he was when he weighed 146-149 on fightnight.

It's obvious man, just look at the evidence on tape rather than making guesses based on Shane Mosley's age!! :nut

Shane was bigger than floyd. What the hell are y'all talking about. When they stood face to face Mosley was naturally bigger than floyd. Floyd is bigger though. I don't think he was 158 and up though. He was probably about 152. He said he was 147 on fight night though.

Floyd was outweighed by Oscar, but he also didn't disclose his weight that night.

It looks like Floyd's deltoid, bicep, and tricep has grown.

LOL at people voting 158+... no ****ing way. Floyd looked big and a little sluggish against Oscar, and he was only 148 on fight night. Floyd would not want to weigh more than 152-154 max, otherwise his speed will seriously suffer. You also would not want to drain the hell out of the fighter either.

Fact of the matter is this: People have always under-rated Mayweather's strength in the ring, and now that he pushed around Mosley, they are trying to make it out like he was 160 pounds. Ridiculous.

I love how people are trying to speculate that Floyd is all of sudden some huge, muscular giant whose damn near a MW  They want to try and make it seem like he's so big now, but nobody was complianing all the times when he came into the ring giving up 9, 10, 15lbs to his opponents.

Exactly Oscar didn't allow himself to be weighed on fight night, neither did Hatton, neither did Mosley yet people are acting like little school girls because Floyd didn't either.
