he quit, but hes still good. he was completley outboxing margo and piling up rounds. i think he could win a rematch honestly.

Cotto proved he was tougher and more durable than his worst critics had claimed, and yet it was made very clear that there were elements of truth to the criticism. Cotto is far better at giving punishment than taking it.

Cotto is a warlord who took a challenge and lost. Full respect to him.

Fair point Rafa. Can you be more specific about the things people criticized him about?

Still, I can't criticize a man for getting hurt.
The fact that he is not perfect is something that makes his fights even more exciting.
He fought and lost like a warrior.

warriors go out on their shield, Cotto dropped to a knee and looked to his corner to call the fight.

Nothing but respect for the heart that Cotto demonstrated against Margo that night. It was a brutal beating, one that can affect the career of most fighters. Going into the 8th Cotto was fighting with all heart, his body was broken at that point. If Cotto was a quitter he would of quit in the 8th. But he didn't so I give mad respect.

Yeah, mainly it's been all the talk regarding Cotto's punch resistance and stamina problems before Margarito.

Agreed, those two (stamina and resistance) betrayed him in that fight.

I'm really looking forward to his comeback to see if that loss affected him and how so.
    Hope he comes back stronger.

You have to remember, these same fans called Floyd a coward for not fighting men he didn't have to fight, and the way Floyd fought Baldy. To see Cotto lose, and fight in the manner that he did and lose when he hardly ever backed up in a fight can make some call him a coward. Cotto is no coward. He shouldn't have quit because he was very much in the fight, but he had, had enough, and I can respect that always.
