Much respect, he gave it his all. Just want to see him apply a different tactic next instead of going to the ropes and leaning with his head down. I mean for God's sake, the man's best punch is as obvious as it gets, what was he preparing for in training camp?

I believe from one point on (probably the 7th round), Cotto was fighting mostly out of instinct rather than logic. I doubt his team didn't know Margo's best weapon (and most dangerous punch for Cotto) is his left uppercut and hook to the body, but by the 7th round Cotto was in survival mode and didn't use his brain/strategy

He wasn't doing bad early, he looked like he had things in control though the going to the ropes with his head down showed him that the result could be as he suffered a broken nose and too early yet still continued to do that and his corner never told him to knock it off.

Still lots of respect for him no doubt about that.

He gave his all but got completely battered by the end of it. He clearly had nothing left.

The two who think he's a coward need to take a good look at themselves what the **** do you want off him? Stand there and get beaten senseless when he had nothing to fight back with?

Oh definitely, I enjoyed his performance in the first six rounds, I even think I gave him 5 of the first 6 clearly, if I recall correctly. But it was after that, when he began to get caught more and more by Margo, cause he wasn't as fresh and didn't move as fast out of the way. I too disagree with the rope tactic, that's the worst position you wanna be on against a guy like Margo.

You don't have to fight EXACTLY like Margo to exploit Cotto's flaws such as his vulnerabilities to the uppercut 'cause of his openess down the middle, and shots to the body because of the way he keeps is elbows so far away from his body. Plus add in his lack of true ring generalship. I mean for a guy with quicker feet it's not really all that hard to track Cotto down as he keeps his back dangerously close to the ropes, and has to stop in order to let his punches off.

If a future opponents can capitalize on any one of thse flaws in Cotto's game then we might see yet another loss in Miguel's future.

Yes, but isn't that just stating the obvious? :huh

Of course if someone exploits his flaws he's gonna beat him.
