well not necessarily... someone can expose all your damn flaws in the ring and you can still lay them out with one big ass shot in the end, no? ;)

Anyway, what Margo did is just show the world how to engage the Puerto Rican ex-champ and that can only mean good things for his future opponents if they do their homework. Attack Cotto with punches down the middle, maybe work his body, wait till he stops against the ropes to attack him, and so on and so forth.

I hear ya. Cotto's not a one-punch KO artist, though. :good

But remember Margo did that while willing to take vicious shots by Cotto.
I don't think there is another welterweight out there right now who can follow that plan, simply cause noone aside from Margo can walk through everything Cotto throws.

It's "easier" to attack Cotto down the middle, work his body and BACK HIM UP to the ropes and wait till he stops moving. The thing is, there's nobody else at 147 right now who can firmly back Cotto up except for Margarito, in order to follow that strategy.

PS: And cmon, vote in the poll, let us know what you think of Cotto. ;)

How can you lose respect for a guy who left the ring with nothing? The only thing that worries me about Cotto is that he seems hell-bent on avenging his only defeat. I think Margo will do the same to him every day of the week. Paul Williams would destroy him too.

I agree Margo has Cotto's number. Cotto needs a lot of changes in a possible rematch and still I'd favour Margo, stylewise.

But I doubt Williams would beat him, let alone "destroy" him. If you can't back Cotto up, you're in for some deep ****.

I can't see Cotto getting near him, personally. I think Williams would just pick him off for twelve rounds. Cotto is a great fighter but against these big guys at 147 he's always going to struggle.

Yep, size is always gonna be an issue for Miguel.

But who knows, maybe they'll create a new division @ 143, he would be untouchable there.

Nah, he'll die trying to make those kind of weights all the time.

He'd better fight Margo and then move up @ 154. :deal
