i think he's a very talented boxer that will most likely go down as the best of the generation, but that's only if floyd starts fighting the best, which is what he's doing against mosley. floyd's biggest flaw is his resume, it's not a crap resume, but regarding what talent he is, it should be a lot better. i would consider pacquiao to have the better resume right now, but at the end of it all, i do expect floyd to win a tough fight against mosley, and also beat pacquiao a bit easier than mosley, which then makes his resume much more greater.
Personally i think he is the smartest fighter who has ever lived. This is why he has been able to effectively implement his defence. Despite his lack of power he has combined the best elements for the greatest boxers of all time into his asson. He is much like Chaim Perelman i hate to say this but he is one smart ******* and his team ofcourse
Trains like a beast, great defensive fighter, awesome ability to adjust to styles. Those are some of the elements I'm most impressed with, especially the latter. Don't care much for his contradicting statements. But his overall personality makes him a funny dude. Don't love him but I can see why someone would.
I think he is a great boxer and a great businessman. Of course handling his money is another issue, but it is undeniable how much he can milk boxing for it's dollars. I hope he challenges himself and hopefully be considered as one of ATG.
He is a very smart guy, he has really marketed himself well, albeit as a **** talking bad guy. As a boxer he is extremely talented and as someone who has boxed too, I really appreciate the skills he has.
So, that's your first post ever? Your own thread about Mayweather. :-( You have got to be an alt account.
He's a great fighter. Intelligent, quick, has just about every punch in the book, difficult to hit cleanly. Unfortunately he's basically wasted the past two years, and to make it even more disapponting, it didn't come at a point where he's on the outside looking in and can't score big fights. After becoming one of the biggest names/draws in the sport, he didn't fight for awhile. However, it isn't too late to help make up for it, so if he beats Mosley he better fight Pacquiao next (provided Manny wins) and the two of them need to come to some sort of compromise.
top 20, not top 5. easily the best boxer currently and aside from roy jones jr., the best boxer of the last 20 years or so. EASILY.
People who hate him put him down as some kind of thug, but lets be honest. He is a very very clever person in his sport and in genreal business. I think the reason why his resume is not the best is becasue he knows better than anyone how to pick a fighter whos style will work in his favour. I have a lot of respect for the guy and his god given talents. I agree sometimes his trash talk is a bit too much for most people, but i actually enjoy listening to him talk as he always makes me laugh with his outrageous comments. Personality aside he is one of, if not the the best technical fighters of my era. Love him or hate him you cant disagree with that.
Anyone who voted A, they are voting on his personality which is very irrelevant seen as he is known around the world for his boxing. Anyone who voted A, they have never liked him, or never will like him (his personality, or his boxing skills). I voted C, couldn't care less about his personality, whether he is putting it on for the cameras or not. He is the most talented, natural boxer of this era in my opinion. His resume is very good up until the Welterweight division, which could be better, but Mosley is a very good start. Also, he is not Top 5 ATG.
