It's got a bit more respect latley but still means nothing...6 years ago... well... Roll on an old Ruiz
I'm sure Haye will fight the Klitschko(s). Once they are done with Ruiz they'll gun for Wlad, they ain't stupid. If that works out they'll probably have to fit in a mandatory or something and then they'll go for Vitali. Pretty sure he hasn't got many fights in him, I think he wants to achieve that and get out pretty quick. I'd be surprised if he makes 30 pro fights.
Ricky Hatton (according to Ricky Hatton) was beating pac until he was unfortunately knocked the **** out, so he obviously has a future.
I think he will fight at least one of them eventually, but I think it may be his swan song. Vitali can't have many years left in him now.
He's already had fights lined up with both of them - without a belt. The belt I think is largely an irrelevance as any potential winner will soon be stripped of it for mandatory reasons etc anyway. He doesn't need that belt, if he was really that desperate to fight them, I think he could. The world now knows he is the current title holder, a piece of metal makes little difference.
What are you suggesting-he drops the WBA to fight Klitschko sooner? If he dropped the belt and the Klitschkos were to fight him,Haye would be voluntary or mandatory at best(if he were to fight his way there) As it is,a fight would be a unification and Haye would be entitled to a 50/50 like Ibragimov got Remember the Klitschkos have fights coming up too(it would result in more inactivity for Haye)
I don't know, I just got excited a year or so ago over the fights with the Klits, went around telling everyone Haye was a breath of fresh air, going to take on all comers and now have to suffer an old Ruiz. I'm just failing to get as excited as some people.
I never said he was a 'great', taking on all comers etc. - I just said his record is very good, which I believe it is. I'm not bragging about the lack of fights he has had, I am just saying that he has achieved a lot in the 24 he has had. I wish he had been more active because I only see him having another 4 fights. I agree, he has the popularity and 'success' of beating a genuine heavyweight to gain the better contract terms he desired against the Klits first time around, although the way Haye talks so fondly of the WBA title I do not see him just giving it up as he seeks to unify the division.
Drop the belt and he is pretty much back to square 1.The Klitschkos wouldn't need him unless he were to fight his way to mandatory status
