i've been following him for a while and he's my favorite prospect to watch. i don't think he's a better prospect than someone like Golovkin or Lara but i think he is still a good prospect. he did get the benefit of the doubt last fight but i think he will come back even stronger. at the very least, he's exciting to watch. thoughts?
he gave me and my mates a great night in his last fight we were screaming out like the rapper MIKE JONES MIKE JONES "Always remember no matter how much you get your ass whooped you will still be crowned champ"MIKE JONES 2010 In all seriousness tho he will defo be fun to watch in his career even if he does not reach elite level
He's meant to fight kell brook which will be a cracking fight between two undefeated ww prospects and the winner wud be ready to step up to title level IMO
Wanna see him vs Brook who destroyed a guy who had no business being in the ring with Brook. That will be an exciting fight IMO bc Jones is a skilled and durable guy while I feel Brook is a bit untested but could be the bigger talent. Let's see after this fight!
He's got alot going for him. He's a big ww, but probably won't be able to stay forever. He just recently started stepping it up in comp and was lucky to get out of the fight with Soto-Karass with a W. However, he had the dude reeling and seemed to punch himself out. He's done what he's had to so far though. I think he still has a little ways to go before he makes an impact. I think he will go pretty far, but fall short of truly elite status.
Saw his last fight on the Pac v Margarito undercard. He struggled badly against an opponent they figured he'd beat easily. I saw alot of his other fights, but I've never been overly impressed with him. He wouldn't be able to handle the elite at 147.
He barley got that win against Karass. If he doesn't improve, he won't make it with the top welters. Exciting fighter, but still has much to improve on.
