Yeah, at 30 years old fighting a relative novice, I don't see where the "past his prime" argument comes into effect. Opinion was certainly split over who would win, the dilapidated Sullivan of '88-90 or Jackson but it was not split over the 1882-85 Sullivan or Jackson... everyone chose Sullivan.
