Granted, most anybody that orders this card is doing so because they don't miss Cotto fights. But you are still paying $50. This card one of the all time worst in my opinion. The main reason I say that is because of the Christy Martin fight. That is a complete abomination. You know what, it's a nice story that she is making a ring return at age 42 after being recently stabbed and shot. Wish her the best. But goddamnit, have that fight off TV. Buy a ticket if you want to see her. It is unacceptable to have a woman's fight on an expensive PPV undercard. It is meaningless ****. And this is Top Rank, with the deepest stable of fighters in the sport. The other two undercard fights are Foreman-Wolak and Vazquez-Zappavigna. The Vazquez fight might be interesting. There's not much value in this undercard, though.
I'm looking forward to seeing her fight again, and I think the novelty of having women fighting on the undercard could boot buys. As a matter a fact, it might be the tipping point for me because I surely wouldn't have bought the fight before I found out she was on the card. The main event is a side show. Mayorga is going to get beat down. You can't be inactive and jump back to elite level that quickly. Especially since Cotto has been training with steward....sheet.

Its called promotion and the great people at Top Rank know exactly what their doing, Christy Martin has been in the news recently and their milking the attention she's gotten. I'm not going to buy Miguel Cotto vs Ricardo Mayorga so I could careless if they had Bozo the clown vs Ronald McDonald on the undercard because I ain't paying for it.
