I gave it a 6. The under-card doesn't intriguing me much, but the main event itself is a big enough attraction that the preceding fights don't need to be spectacular to entertain me as I wait in anticipation.

The Deandre fight was some last minute stuff. The Quillin/Winky fight didn't get approved :fire

Also Guerro didn't want to fight Paulie, so Vargas is there

The Mora fight sealed the deal for me. After that 2nd round against Floyd, I suspected Mosley was shot beyond repair, and his next fight proved that, as did his next fight after that.

Neither outcome excites me. If Canelo wins, he will do what is expected, and punish a fighter who, in his prime, is one of my favorites and an all time great. I don't want to see him get beat down like that.

At the same time, if Mosley wins, what does that leave us with? A hot young prospect sparked out, and an old fighter who still wouldn't be able to do a fraction of what he once could in a division where he can't really compete with the best.

excellent card....one of the best in years. Quintana is gonna whup Latimore, Vargas gonna have his hands full with Gomez and although I'm sure Shanes shot this is his last chance so he'll proly fight much better than he did vs Pac and Mora and he matches up far better stylistically vs Canelo than he did vs his previous 3 opponenents. I'm stoked for the Quintana fight(i always liked quintana's style), the mosley canelo fight and the main event.....don't care much for Vargas vs Gomez but as an opening bout it's not bad, it's on the level of the Mike Jones vs Soto Karass fight as far as callibre of fighters involved and that turned out to be amazing.

    The main event is killer.
Alvarez/Mosley is very good, but could be even better with 12 other guys than Mosley.
Vargas/Gomez would be a solid opener, but Gomez just doesn't intrigue or entertain me.
Latimore/Quintana is actually a pretty good fight, but the bottom two cards should contain one more sizable name.

8 - Very good fights all around. Curious to see how Vargas does in this one. People give him **** because of his last fight but I give him credit because he couldn't hurt Lopez and Lopez was really taking it to him. But he didn't fold. He kept boxing and kept punching which is why he got the win. The kid has heart.

How did GBP allow the Wright/Quillin fight to fall apart? That would have made this a 10 for me.

    Main event is awesome

CO-Feature is a bit of a miss match but still an interesting fight.

    Vargas-Gomez

Good competitive fight. Vargas is an entertaining fighter.

    Latimore-Quintana

Two glass jawed fighters with good power. Sure to showcase some entertaining glass shattering.

I like Vargas vs Gomez and I think we get a good one with big upset potential.

For everyone criticizing Canelo-Shane, you all will be sitting down with eyes locked when that first bell rings.

Latimore-Quinatana is a little weak. Would have liked it on Fnf the night before with Ishe opening up the PPV. Oh well.

    7.5 overall, maybe 8

    5. Not impressed at all.

Golden Boy could have Peter Quillin against one of the European bangers. Great action bout. Went with Winky Wright, then when people pissed on that matchup they moved it completely.

The other bouts are so so at best. The Ortiz vs May card was far better.

A great card to me should be

    1. Entertainment bout. Find to guys who want to bang it out, doesnt even have to be top level guys. Just guys that can get the crowd pumped up.

    2. 2 championship level fighters. With maybe not as much drawing power like the guys on the main event. Tired of these young guys vs past it guys. How about 2 young guys in sort of co-main event.

    3. Main event.

I gave a 6 . Its hard to rate it realistically since the standard is so low for boxing cards. But having Cotto, Floyd and Mosley all on the same bill warrants it a decent score.
