what do you think of the stoppage in the Arce v. Darchinyan fight

Arce was taking a good beating but it wasn't devastatingly bad where he was constantly getting caught with flush, hard shots. A lot of Vic's shots were landing but a lot them were missing. I definitely would've let him finish the fight. It was one round left. A difference between a TKO loss and a UD loss is big in people's minds.

 

Good stoppage.

It's pointless to let Arce receive much more punishment . . . it's a losing cause.

 

At the time I thought it was premature with only 1 round to go. (maybe that was my selfishness at enjoying the fight so much!)
However the officials, who were in a much better position than me, got it spot on and I'm just glad Arce checked out the hospital safe and well the next day.

i would be the fight being stopped while the fighter is fighter with time on...not on breaks..but arce is badly beaten the fight should have been stopped two rounds earlier...

 

We all know Arce is as tough as they come, but no need to see him get hurt

It was getting into dangerous territory for Arce.

Went to hospital after the fight with pain behind the ears and right eye.

Another round ... things could have gone really bad.

He wasn't going to win the fight.
