The problem with ones like this are that you get a lot of herd mentality, where on Yahoo! it's just random individuals popping in speaking their mind freely without any communal influence. It provides a refreshingly different take now and then. I've seen eloquently expressed and well-argued opinions on some Yahoo! Answers pages that fly in the face of widely held precious beliefs on this and other forums.
It doesn't really work like that. A lot of it is simple Q&A stuff like "Did Tyson ever get knocked out? ...Yes, a few times: [dates/names]..." It's more something that comes up when you're mucking about on Google and a particular topic pops up in the top search results, you click on it and suddenly there's a five paragraph breakdown of whatever that would fit right in some of the debates on here - but the person has nothing to lose worrying about being flamed for an unpopular opinion, unlike how it is here.
I actually liked ESPN comments and replying on Facebook boxing sites for that reason but I feel like I learn more from spots like this but yeah I have seen the herd mentality where I will post a fact and it will be ignored because it goes against their argument.
