What do you think of Tomasz Adamek at heavyweight?

I don't think he's much kop as a heavyweight.

Better than average but he won't win a title.

 

I dont think he'll make a great heavyweight, he may not even get a belt but atleast its a little bit interesting having him in the division.

I discussed Adamek with a Polish guy at football.

He did not see him as a big personality in Poland. In sport he said the sporting box office guy in Poland was, Kubica, the F1 driver

 

adamek is a solid european heavy and would be a fighter that might get a tittle in a better era of heavyweight boxing as opposed to what he is today a fighter locked to a tittle shot due to the lack of top flight heavyweights.

for me i saw in the second cunningham fight a fighter that took way to many straight rights hands and would be in trouble against a strong heavy , haye for me would drop him a few times on route to a stoppage victory

 

Too small. No power. Average skills. Seems to have a good chin though.

I bet more people were interested in Lewis Hamilton or Jenson Button's World Championships, than were for David Haye's or Amir Khan's.

 

I'd agree, have to say though he has done very well to completely change his style to hang with the big men. Although his footwork is bad it really shows how poor these heavies are at times. I'd say the main men at the weight would have their way with him. Chambers, Povetkin, Haye and the Klits all have their way of beating him maybe not so much Povetkin these days but it would be a tough ask.

I'm not too sure the move to heavy is doing him any favors he wasn't a great boxer at crusier and got the business done with his relentless pressure and punch power with the ability to take a beating. Now it's quiet the opposite with him using his "quick" footwork to out box the big guys.

If the Peter fight came off that could of been a good indicator of how he is looking at the weight. Will be interesting to see what direction he is going in his next fight.

I think he's done ok for a fighter that has come from 175, fought some decent HW fighters, doesn't have the power to dominate the division though.

 

They wouldn't throw him in with Wald. Is he not a bit of a cash cow in the states? why blow that with the Klits? I know it's an interesting fight for the division but no way is he ready and he will get his face smashed in badly.

 

I like both his work ethic and him as a person.

As a fighter I think he's very good too, but the Grant fight and a few often 'brushed under the carpet' moments against Estrada and Arreola really make me doubt his chances against Wladimir though.
