Fury is a much needed breath of fresh air in the moribund HW division. Plus he's a hell of a fighter who can be champion for a very long time if he continues to take his career seriously.

I used to hate Fury and thought he was a loudmouth bum.

Now however, I really like him and think he is a very, very good fighter. He has changed his defence immeasurably in the last 18 months and credit for this must be given to gis uncle and trainer Peter Fury.

    Tyson on twitter is comical.

I think he's entertaining. He can hurt someone or be hurt at any moment & he's a bit of an idiot who can come out with something ridiculous everytime he's in front of a camera.

I think he's too big for Cunningham & Cunningham lacks the power to hurt him.

I think he'll come a cropper against any of Wlad, Haye, Pulev & Solis but would beat most others.

Would love to see him in with the likes of Price & Wach, they'd be proper 50-50 shoot outs.

I think his "persona" is very forced, fake and generally I just find him lacking class and maturity. As a boxer I think he's a solid contender. He has an average array of skills, but I think if he can marry his size to studiousness and dedication, he can have moderate success in a shallow division. I see title shots and brutal KO losses ahead. Put in the mix of the last era and he'd be mauled to pieces, however.

Like the fact that he's a character (more of them in boxing the better) and I'm a big fan of his persona. Slightly more ambiguous in regards to his boxing ability. I think he has good potential, has shown a lot of improvements which even his most ardent naysayers have to admit, but don't really know how high his ceiling is.

I don't rate Fury as a fighter either. Tyson hasn't got natural talent, just a very tall guy who knows how to use his size advantages. I can't see Cunningham having any chance of beating him though. Not enough power, too weak, and unlikely to outbox the big oaf for 12 rounds. Adamek isn't nothing special.

Wish he'd temper what he says just a bit,but is great entertainment, quick witted and funny at times. As has been said,I don't think he's out of place with todays top heavyweights. After seeing Helenius last night and Solis the night before, can't see theres much to fear.Pulev, probably, and the American who a fellow bulls up on here, but who else?Could see him actually giving an account against Wlad now, never mind in a year or 2.Think theres better fights than Cunningham, but would hate to miss it.Definitely expect him to win.

For ages I hated him and thought he was just a big fat idiot who I couldn't wait to see get sparked by Price. Over the last year or so though he's really began to win me around.

He's improved massively as a fighter since he's been training with his uncle Peter Fury and he's undoubtedly become one of the most controversial and colourful figures in a sport and a division that so badly needs controversy and colourful personalities. Same reason I like Chisora, FFS we need something to talk about when discussing heavyweight boxing except just the bland as **** Klitschkos. Most of the hate he gets is off casual fans who haven't got a clue and resort to calling him names because he's a gyspy and such. Those people are idiots and don't understand how boxing works (calling Fury a chicken etc...).

The one thing I wish is that he wouldn't do is openly slag scousers just because the hardcore Price fans give him hate. Not all scousers hate him and call him names, most of us on here and other places actually think he's funny and root for him. I'm still a big fan of Pricey but I've warmed to Tyson too, both are great fighters and when they do both eventually fight one another it'll be amazing.

Overall Fury's won me around. Great fighting heart, entertaining as hell and improved hugely as a fighter. Just learn to keep a lid on it sometimes. :good

Fury is a show man through and through is exciting in and out of the ring. Price is so safe and boring with his bbc personality Fury is the excitement the HW divison needs.

I like the "personality" he brings to the sport (much better than a rather droll Proce, for example) but as a boxer I do think he's rather limited and a knockout victim waiting to happen.

    Could get beaten against Cunningham.

Fury is a good lad, is very likeable and has a great skill set for someone so big and akward looking. Peter Fury has brought him on leaps and bounds mainly due to the fact that he is one of the few Tyson bothers his hole listening to. If he can keep improving and keep focused he can be a HW champ in any of the classifications and can hold it for a credible length of time.

    Hi Reddo
Think you're wrong, and hope you're wrong.Mainly because, like you,I appreciate him being a bit of a character and want to see more.Dont want it to end.Think he's too big for Cunningham, and for all his size, has a fair amount of speed.Well soon see mate.
