In a statement released Tuesday night through the mediator in the case, the Mayweathers said they "wish to make it clear that they never intended to claim that Manny Pacquiao has used or is using any performance-enhancing drugs, nor are they aware of any evidence that Manny Pacquiao has used performance-enhancing drugs."

It's a ***** move to try and discredit his achievements when there's absolutely nothing concrete to base it on, why is it so hard to believe that he's just a fantastic talent?

When asked if he felt his ban of four years fit his crime, Olubamiwo insisted, “No, to be fair I don’t. First of all, looking at the other sanctions that the bigger-named guys had, it’s not fair. And a lot of people have made a big deal of me making a big deal about that, saying, ‘Well, it doesn’t matter; you’ve still broken the rules.’ But at the end of the day, these are the guys that we look up to. When I was younger or just getting into boxing, I’d look at guys like James Toney, Roy Jones, guys that are at the pinnacle of our sport. And you see that they’re using things and I think to myself, well, first of all, I have to use these things to get to the top or get to a stage where you can make some money. Second of all, if you do get caught, the sanctions are not likely to be that severe, so therefore, you can still get on with your career as these guys have done. So that was my thinking at the time. That was my mind frame at the time.

“I would estimate worldwide…if I’m talking about the U.K., I would say 30 percent,” said Olubamiwo. “Worldwide, I would think it’s a lot higher than that. A lot higher than that and I’m being conservative with my estimate because what people need to understand is that, in the U.K. at least, if you aren’t fighting for a British title [afterward], you don’t get tested. You [do not] get tested, it is as simple as that. So there is nothing to stop anyone from using up to the British title level. And this is why I was able to get away with it for so long because I hadn’t fought for a British title but [I fought for regional titles] and had title eliminators. I had an English title eliminator that I was not tested for. I had an International Masters title fight which I won and wasn’t tested for.”

Despite being based in the U.K., Larry has trained in the U.S., most notably at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood, CA. While he did not name specific gyms or fighters, Olubamiwo painted a picture of a hidden brotherhood, probably not unlike those found in any other sport, in which drug use is openly discussed.

“A lot of people will give me a lot of stink, especially [in the U.K.] because I keep saying this. Because they believe there are only 10 percent of guys doing it. And I accept that there aren’t probably as many guys doing it in the U.K. as there are in the U.S. but there is a large minority,” he said. “And I’m not saying this because I’m trying to lessen the attention on myself. I’m saying this because I have seen people, boxers, buying stuff from the same guy that I’ve bought stuff from

:hi: Even PED disgrace Larry admits it's not nearly as high in the UK.

The punishment should be having their shamefull glass jaw exposed infront of millions in crystal clear HD after getting busted with their hands far down in the cookie jar.

Legalise them. Stuff that was banned years ago is now legal, in 30 years the stuff that's banned now will be legal. Just create a level playing field and legalise them.

The real question is what do you do to a guy who turns down a 50/50 fight with Floyd Mayweather over random blood testing when Floyd has to take the same damn test?

    i really hate this idea.

it would not be a level playing field, the best connected, the richest guy will have better stuff, plus it would be dangerous for all competitors and massivley damaging to the sport.

it's also true that stuff that was fine 30 years ago is banned now btw

I never said everyone in the UK was innocent, I said, as even Larry himself admits, it's far less prevalent in the UK than most other countries.

Unlike Roy Jones, Shane Mosley and James Toney and others in your country British see Larry as an absolute disgrace to the sport while you see them as heroes for cheating.

Once again your own source to prove the UK is the PED capital of the world bites you in the butt.:lol:

Do you really think it's a good idea in a sport where people are punching each other in the face to have drugged up supermen doing it.

I'd agree if we was talking about something like spiriting here, or cycling, but in a combat sport. :nono

Becuase Pacquiao is likely a disgraceful PED cheat. (although had Pacquiao accepts history has told us Mayweather would've moved the goal posts again :nod

But then again so is Mayweather that's why he only wants to fight in Las Vagas where he has the corrupt Nevada state athletic commission to bribe. :nod

But why is Ward, Broner and Hopkins so testy about testing :think

I find fighters who go on about other fighters being cheaters highly suspect it takes one to know one as they say:yep

By shifting all the attention on anther fighter calling him a cheater it takes away the attention on you thus making you highly suspect in my book mayweather has been doing this to cover his own ass......FACT!

I'm always suspicious of guys that only want to fight under the banner of a certain athletic commission. (i.e Mayweather- Nevada, Ward- Cali)

I know the Nevada state is one of the few that allow Mayweather get away with injecting xylocain in his grubby paws.:good
